Uplifting the School Community in Conestoga Valley

Beginning
in October, the National Honor Society (NHS) students of Conestoga Valley
Senior High School crafted an idea to create a coffee and beverage stand near
one of the high school entrances. Their mission is two-fold: offer warm drinks
for purchase to help students feel energized as they start their day and
increase fundraising to provide a larger budget for the district program, Shop With
a Buckskin.
The
program pairs elementary children from lower income families within the
Conestoga Valley School District with a Conestoga Valley NHS high school
student to shop for holiday gifts for their families. Shop With a Buckskin
provides opportunities for students to join together to help others, encourages
positive interactions across grade levels and uplifts the school community by providing
hope during the holiday season.
