Roaring Brook Market Opens in Lancaster

Roaring Brook Market has opened at 155 East King Street, on downtown Lancaster’s Historic East Side Merchant Row, owned by local food enthusiasts Sarah McGahran, Trex Proffitt, Rachel Cooke and Drew Nowacoski. The grocery store and café locally sources fresh produce, meat, dairy, eggs and cheese and offers them at a fair price. Seating is available in the café and items can also be ordered for take-out.

Roaring Brook Market launched an Indiegogo campaign that ends on August 16. The money raised will go towards buying energy-efficient equipment and start-up market inventory from equitably paid farmers, growers and suppliers. Members of the community can contribute to the campaign and become involved in the success of the store.
