Make a Difference: Volunteer With Hospice & Community Care

Inpatient Center Volunteer
Hospice & Community Care invites compassionate individuals to make
a difference by joining its volunteer team. Volunteers play a vital role in
supporting the organization’s mission to provide personalized, compassionate
care and support for patients and families coping with serious illness through
the end of life.
Patient-facing volunteers offer companionship and comfort to patients
and their families, often providing respite for caregivers. These roles take
place in hospitals, senior living facilities, personal care homes, private
residences or The Bob Fryer & Family Inpatient Center. Comprehensive
orientation ensures volunteers feel prepared and confident in their roles.
Nonpatient-facing opportunities include providing clerical support,
greeting visitors and assisting with community events. Specialized roles, such
as hairstylists, pet therapy providers and veteran-to-veteran volunteers, offer
additional ways to connect and contribute. Volunteers ages 18 and older are
welcome, and a special program is available for teens ages 15 to 18.
Volunteering with Hospice & Community Care fosters meaningful
community connections, supports vital services like hospice care, and promotes
personal growth while inspiring a culture of giving.
