Functional Medicine Certified Health
Coach Elizabeth Kelly, at Functional Health of Lancaster, is one of nine female
practitioners whose mission is to help patients achieve optimal health through
partnership, accountability, resiliency and empowerment.
She says,
“I believe in a whole body, holistic approach to health care.” She graduated
from the prestigious 12-month program at the Functional Medicine Coaching
Academy, the gold standard in functional health coaching. This is the only
program created in conjunction with the Institute of Functional Medicine and is
approved by the National Board of Health and Wellness Coaching. Kelly also
holds a Master of Arts degree in Communication Studies from Edinboro University
and a Bachelor of Music degree from Susquehanna University.
Through the
lens of functional medicine, she uses mind-body techniques for stress
reduction, positive psychology, character strengths work, the Tiny Habits
method and SMART goals to help clients build the skills to get unstuck and move
forward toward their health goals.
“Whether you’re struggling with weight
management, autoimmune, thyroid support, hormonal imbalances, post-childbirth
changes, menopause transition or want to support healthy aging, I can help you
identify and overcome behaviors that are keeping you from the life and health
you desire,” she advises.
Kelly explains, “When I see someone who
had very little hope that life could be better because of their health begin to
realize their dreams for the future are attainable, it is like witnessing the
miracle of metamorphosis beginning to unfold. I see them working hard on their
mindset, as well as changes in their nutrition, movement and stress, and I am
so proud of them because I know the struggles they have gone through and how
sometimes making these life changes can feel like trying to stop a freight
train.”
