Godfrey’s Dogdom Supports Canine Nutrition

Barb Emmett,
owner of Godfrey’s Welcome to Dogdom, in Mohnton, has more than twenty years of
experience as a canine wellness advocate and holds a certificate in canine
nutrition. In response to growing interest from her customers, Emmett now
offers free, one-hour consultations for owners interested in learning how to
improve their pet’s diet and nutrition. She has also expanded Godfrey’s supply
of fresh, raw and lightly cooked foods, placing special attention on the
quality, transparency and integrity of sourcing. One gently cooked food
option uses the “sous vide” method of cooking to greatly preserve the
nutrients. Whole food supplements such as medicinal mushrooms play a role
in improving immunity. Meats and goat’s milk products are sourced from
small farms.
Godfrey’s
also offers seven rooms of retail products, training classes, dog park
memberships, food and environmental sensitivity test kits and more.
Emmett, who continues
to study new methods for increasing pet longevity and quality of life, is
passionate about helping people have more time with their pets. About the
process of collaborating with pet owners, Emmett reflects, “I meet each person
wherever they are to improve the wellness of their pet and serve better health
in their dog’s bowl.”
