Dr. Drobin Provides Root-Cause Hormone Help

Dr. Jane
Drobin, ND, DC, owner of Naturopathic and Chiropractic Family Health, LLC, in
Elizabethtown, assists women in getting to the root cause of hormone issues,
including irregular, heavy or painful menstrual cycles; fertility issues;
perimenopausal issues; weight gain; polycystic ovary syndrome; acne; fatigue
and more. She assesses what lifestyle choices could be affecting hormones as
well as the reasons why birth control medication was prescribed in order to
determine if it is the best option.
Drobin
commonly runs the DUTCH panel to get a full assessment of hormone levels,
including cortisol, estrogen (E1, E2, E3), progesterone, testosterone, DHEA and
many other markers. “The DUTCH test is most beneficial because it is a urine
test that measures hormones on a 24-hour cycle; it can monitor all fluctuations
throughout the day,” she explains. “In addition, it measures unbound hormones
only, as opposed to serum tests that measure bound and unbound, which may skew
the results. Each patient is treated according to individual needs; therefore, other
tests may be suggested, such as vitamin D or a full thyroid panel.”
