Sarah McCann has launched her birth doula services, providing prenatal and postpartum care to women and families in Lancaster, Chester and Delaware counties. Her care provides support throughout pregnancy, during birth and once the baby has arrived, by using empathetic touch, essential oils and an array of other services and modalities. She will also help women advocate for themselves with their medical provider or whenever necessary. 

McCann was trained at Carriage House Birth Foundation in New York City. She explains that when women choose to have a doula by their side during pregnancy and birth, cesarean rates, labor duration, use of oxytocin and request for epidural all decrease. “I provide women and their families with patience, kind support and ensure confidence and comfort throughout our collaboration of their birth journey,” shares McCann.
