Connecting Groundwork to Riding

Seamlessly transfer the important foundations of groundwork to the saddle.

Groundwork is one of the most under-appreciated skills in the modern horse world. It is the BEST way to develop a partnership with your horse based on trust and respect, as well as develop the needed skills, movements, communication, and understanding for when we introduce riding to that partnership.

This clinic is for beginners with some riding experience, through advanced horsemen wanting to improve their foundations. You will learn groundwork activities with multiple benefits, including:

- improving communication, trust, respect, and understanding between horse and human

- developing your eye for correct movement, timing, and physical ability of your individual horse

- increasing fitness of your horse with certain moves that will be used under saddle

Then you will hop on your horse to learn:

- how to utilize the same skills from a different position (on top of your horse)

- to see the connection between groundwork and various riding maneuvers - to develop the "handiness" of your horse as a partner who works with you in various ridden situations
